Stephen Wayne Shultz, 65, of Greenwich, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 23, 1958, in Willard, to Ida Mae and Marvin (Warner) Shultz. He was a lifelong resident of Greenwich. He graduated from South Central High School in 1976 and worked for CSX Railroad. He was a member of Salvation Army, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2869 of New London, and American Legion Post #292 of New London.

Stephen was a driven and independent man. In spite of a disability that made him a wheelchair user many years ago, he would drive himself wherever he wanted to go and was always learning new things. Stephen enjoyed talking with people and he liked being a DJ for several years. He was an avid collector of guns and handy man around the house. He liked watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Guardians. Stephen was a Christian and attended Ripley Church in Greenwich.

Stephen's survivors include his loving mother, Ida Mae Shultz; brother, David (Elaine) Shultz; many cousins and nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Shultz; brother, Terry Shultz; sister, Judith Shultz; and grandparents.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, until the time of Stephen's funeral at 7 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, Ohio, 44837. Private interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenwich at a later date.
