Jun 15, 1946 - Apr 9, 2026

Norwalk

Sheila R. (Slavik) Kaiser, 79, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Commons of Providence in Sandusky after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born June 15, 1946, in Norwalk, to Ray and Betty (Paupard) Slavik. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1964. She worked at Kaiser Wells Pharmacy, where she met the love of her life, John Kaiser. They married in August of 1966.

Sheila was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed hosting all family holidays. She was an amazing cook and loved feeding all her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with friends while playing penny poker. She loved animals and often said she would love to have a farm where her animals would die of old age. She also loved to travel with John and many friends. Her favorite destination is Cancun, and she enjoys margaritas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Betty; her in-laws, John and Beatrice Kaiser; brother, Paul Slavik; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Suzanne Kaiser; and nephew, Doug Kaiser.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Reer; granddaughter, Taylor Reer; siblings, Dean "Harry" (Janis) Slavik, June (Steve) Rapp, Loren (Darlene) Slavik; her brother-in-law, Albert Kaiser, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Honoring Sheila's wishes, there will be no visitation or service, and she will be cremated. A celebration of Sheila's life will be at a later date.

Memorial contribu-tions may be sent to Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857 or Firelands Historical Society, 4 Case Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Commons of Providence Memory Care Unit for the love and amazing care given to Sheila during the 12 years she resided there.
