Ronald Barber, 62, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 20, 1960, in Norwalk, to Norman K. and Mary L. (Sprowl) Barber. He was a 1979 graduate of Edison High School. He was a store manager with Big Lots and then a mold operator at Berry Global in Monroeville until present. He supported Victory Kitchen in Sandusky, attended church with his daughter, and read the bible. He was rookie of the year in the 1970s as a stock car racer at Sandusky Speedway. He enjoyed sprint cars, super modified, and barbecuing. He was known as a jokester and prankster to his family and friends at Berry Plastics. He was a second father to many, provided good advice, peacemaker, and great friend.

He is survived by his children, Joshua Barber of West Palm Beach, Florida, Steven (Amanda) Barber of Monroeville, and Christina (Daniel) Goossens of Fremont; four grandsons and one on the way; one granddaughter; brother, Keith Barber of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Norman Glenn Barber.

A celebration of life gathering will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be at Milan Cemetery.
