Margaret Stacy Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" Stacy

Apr 8, 1964 - Jan 11, 2026

Norwalk

Margaret "Peggy" Stacy, 61, and a resident of Norwalk, passed away at home Sunday, January 11, 2026, after a 3-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Peggy graduated from Edison High School in 1983. As a young girl, she loved playing volleyball, riding horses, singing in the choir, and going camping with her family.

In her adult life, she found a passion for serving and bartending. Her favorite spot was Margaritaville, where she worked for 25 years. She was a dedicated employee wherever she went, and easily formed friendships with her coworkers and customers.

Peggy loved the sunshine and being outdoors working on her flowerbeds. She enjoyed music and dancing, watching game shows, and playing bingo at the VFW. She also took great pride in her cooking and baking, especially around the holidays, when she would make hundreds of cookies for all of her family and friends.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James Stacy; son, Thomas (Tai) Meadows of Texas; daughter, Megan (Todd) Jeremay of Sandusky; stepson, Joshua (Hayley) Stacy of Indiana; siblings, Don, David, Barb and Kathy; father-in-law, Jerry Stacy Sr.; grandchildren, Conner, Kaleb, Jaxon, Ryker, Laela, Aubrey, Everleigh, Ashlynn and Carson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Donald and Ruth Gurney, she is preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Meadows; mother-in-law, Alice Stacy; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Jr. and Joey Stacy.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
