Charles Henry Krisher, 76, residing in Norwalk, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

Charles was born March 1, 1950, in Buffalo, New York, to the late George and Grace (Macholz) Krisher.

Charles graduated from Vermilion High School in 1968. He was a veteran of the Air Force who proudly served his country from 1968 to 1973. He was an AF jet mechanic. He was employed as a truck driver for many years. Charles was a longtime NRA member. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also known to enjoy a little moonshine and a glass of Jack Daniel's.

Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary (Stieber) Krisher. He is also survived by his children, Chuck (Jennifer) Krisher and Cindy (Krisher) Wheeler; stepchildren, John (Elisha) Bash and Crystal Givens; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way in April; two brothers, George Krisher and Allen (Linda) Krisher; sister, Gail (Bill) Lyons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kelly, in 1970.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sandusky, with Pastor Jim Cooper presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
