Laurie L. French, 67, of Wakeman, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 10, 1955, in Norwalk, to Eleanor (Jackson) French and the late Robert French.

Laurie graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1973. She was employed at Green Circle Growers, Choo Choo's Restaurant in LaGrange, and Bob Evans in Norwalk. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing scrabble, baking cookies, visiting with family and friends, and playing BINGO.

Laurie is survived by her mother, Eleanor French; siblings, Larry (Valerie) French, Darrell (Kathryn) French, and Tammie (David) Geary; nieces and nephews, Hilary (Chris) Barbuto, Barrett (Chandra) French, Justin (Libby) French, Darla (Rob) French, Jacob (Medina) French, Caleb French, Leona Geary, and Curtis (Michaela) Geary; great-nieces and great-nephews, Talia and Dominic Barbuto, Hannah, Claire, and Audrey French, Grace, Travis, Addie, and Wade French, Nora and Leland French, and Hazel Geary; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert French, in 2020.

Private burial will take place at Wakeman Cemetery. The family will have a private celebration of life in the spring.
