Judith Ann "Judy" Stevens, 80, of Greenwich, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at her home.

Judy was born Oct. 4, 1943, and grew up in Burbank before moving to Delphi then resided in Greenwich for the rest of her life. She attended Greenwich Schools and graduated from South Central High School in 1961.

For many years, she operated Judy's Beauty Shop out of her home. Judy also was a school bus driver for South Central Schools and spent many hours working on her family farm. In her younger years, Judy attended Greenwich United Methodist Church.

Judy's favorite thing to do was to mow the grass. She spent many hours on her zero turn mower and was very proud of her lawn. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, ceramics, and doing puzzles. More recently, Judy liked coloring every day. She collected crocks and antiques. Judy also amassed quite the Santa Claus collection and loved decorating for Christmas. Above all, Judy was always smiling and never said an evil word about anyone.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Rachel) Stevens, Chris (Mindy) Stevens, Robert (Kathy) Stevens, and Mark (Renee) Stevens, all of Greenwich; stepkids, Brett (Joy) Saunders, Vance (Kathy) Saunders, June (Bill) Baker, and Kirk (Angela) Saunders; grandchildren, Brooke Osborn, Haley Tackett, Brooke Stevens, Morgan Williams, Skyler Stevens, Chase Mitchell, Karinne Mitchell, Kailee Oney, Brandon Stevens, Tyler Stevens, Chelsea Stevens, Chuck Stevens, Ady Stevens, Lizzie Stevens, Katie (Blake) Sanders, Wyatt Kauble, and Corbin Barber; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, John Dawson; and special family members, Tim Dawson and Johanna (boyfriend, Brian) Dawson.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, David C. Stevens in 1992; second husband, Russell E. Saunders in 2007; daughters-in-law, Terri Stevens in 2011 and Jennifer Stevens in 2014; granddaughter, Kadi Bergstedt; and sister, Shirley Jean.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, until the time of Judy's funeral at 1 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich. Burial will follow at Fitchville Cemetery.
