Clinton E. "Clint" Bement, 68, of Wakeman, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

He was born March 24, 1955, in Norwalk, to Charles and Mary (Buckley) Bement.

Clinton graduated from Western Reserve High School and EHOVE in 1973. He worked in road construction for many years through the IUOE Local #18. He was a charter member of Wakeman Eagles Aerie 4354 and past member of Wakeman Snowballers snowmobile club. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring lawn tractors and snowmobiles, rebuilding small engines, gardening, cooking, DIY projects, camping, and being in the company of friends and family.

Clinton is survived by his wife, Kristy (Bowman) Bement, whom he married Nov. 23, 1974; daughter, Christine Oney of Bellevue; sons, Clint (Makiko) Bement of Pataskala and Bradley (Kate) Bement of Oregonia; brothers, Bill (Harriet) Bement and Loren (Robin) Bement; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and beloved pups, Maggie and Moe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenny, Ron, Jon, and Jerry Bement; sister-in-law, Beth (Johnson); and son-in-law, James Oney II.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Wakeman Eagles, 35 E. Main St. (corner of SR 60 & SR 20), Wakeman, where Charles Livermore will share some words of comfort with a celebration of life to follow. At Clint's request, cremation has taken place.
