Brian Smith, 59, of Norwalk, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Fisher Titus Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.

He was born April 9, 1964, in Willard, to Patricia (Hoose) and Roy J. Smith. Brian was a 1982 graduate of South Central High School and was employed at Midwest Industries/Stanley. He enjoyed computer coding, watching Cleveland Browns or really any team but Pittsburgh, but spending time with his family especially the grandchildren he cherished most.

Brian is survived by his wife, Margaret (Biermann) Smith, whom he married Aug. 12, 1986; two daughters, Kristen (Vincent) Goebel of Norwalk and Rachel (Alex Norris) Smith of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Adam Goebel, Becca Herborn, Kenny Norris, and Melody Norris; sister, Jennifer (Charles) Atherton of Greenwich; son-in-law, Matt Jones of Berlin Heights; and nieces, Miracle and Aimee Perez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sara Jones; and brother, Kevin Smith.

With his wishes, no services will take place.

The staff of Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, Ohio, 44851, assisted family with arrangements.
