William "Bill" Landenberg passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, after stubbornly cheating death for the past 30 years.

A long-time resident of Norwalk, Bill was born April 5, 1944, to Robert and Margaret Landenberg. After graduating from Norwalk High School, Bill enjoyed working as a salesman in multiple settings, including Browns' Boats, HydroHoist, Dewey Furniture, and especially as the owner of Ideal Sales & Service, Norwalk.

Over his many years, Bill had several accomplishments that he was proud of, including attaining Eagle Scout with three Palms, lifeguarding at Norwalk City Pool, being chosen as Lions' Club president, and serving as both deacon and elder for First Presbyterian Church of Norwalk. He enjoyed serving his community and spending time with his family.

Bill's proudest accomplishments were his 55 year marriage to his wife, Debbie (nee Fink) Landenberg, his two daughters, Robyn and Kellie, and his grandson, Tanis Pancost. He was also much loved by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Bill's funeral will be 12 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Walker Eastman Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Lunch will follow at Norwalk Elks.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill can be sent to Back To The Wild Inc., 4504 Bardshar Rd., Castalia, or Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
