Virgil "Bud" Snyder, 65, residing in Norwalk, passed away Sunday morning, March 16, 2025, at Norwalk Memorial Home.
Virgil was born June 5, 1959 in Sandusky to the late Virgil and Beverly (Frantz) Snyder.
Virgil graduated from Sandusky High School in 1977. Virgil enjoyed fishing, fixing lawn mowers, flea markets, hunting, he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and his generosity knew no bounds, he was first to lend a hand or share what he had.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Heidi Gilbert; daughter, Beverly Snyder; four sons, Nicholas (Dawn) Snyder, Justin Snyder, Anthony Snyder and Edmund (Jennifer) Weyer; two stepdaughters, Tamara Thornton and Rachel Thornton; and three grandchildren, Madison, Morgan and Carter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Virgil is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Ryf; and grandson, Bentley.
A celebration of Virgil's life will take place at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
