Terry A. Hilaman, 79, of Wakeman, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, after a short illness.

He was born February 16, 1946, in Marietta, to Keith and Margaret (Wolfe) Hilaman.

Terry graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the Army who proudly served his country from 1965 to 1967. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Lois Dalton, March 6, 1966, and she was the love of his life. He was a horse trainer for many years and retired from ODOT after 30 years of service. He was a member of Wakeman Congregational Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Michele (Steve) Good; son, Chris (Halle) Hilaman; five grandchildren, Briana (Kara) Good, Izabelle (Elliot) Courtney, Cole, Carson, and Cora Hilaman; great-grandson, Emmit; sisters-in-law, Kay Hilaman and Sherri Watts-Hilaman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. (Dalton) Hilaman; son, Shawn Hilaman; sister, Sue Schmidt; and brothers, Gordon and Jerry Hilaman.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2025, at Wakeman Cemetery, SR 303 & 60, Wakeman, with the Rev. Janet Ross presiding.
