Stephanie M. Jenkins, 48, of Norwalk, passed from this life to the next Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, unexpectedly at home.

She was born June 3, 1975, in Norwalk, to Dennis and Diane (Heston) Nead. She graduated from Norwalk St. Paul Catholic High School in 1993.

Stephanie loved her children and cherished her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. She looked forward to family get togethers, reunions, parties, and playing cards. She worked for Big Lots before being a stay-at-home mom and caregiver for the family.

Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Ernest Jenkins; son, Lukas; daughter Alexis; mother, Diane Beck; grandchildren, Carson and Camden; father, Dennis Nead; sisters, Dawn (Tom) Rusynyk, Tonya (Chris) Payne, Vickie (Ken) Ruppert, and Linda Glock (Jason Drummond); and uncle and Godfather, Dennis Heston.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Kenneth Jenkins; stepfather, Dale Beck; and grandparents, Donald (Rita) Heston and Floyd (Margaret) Nead.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk.
