Sandra Wurmser Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Wurmser

Feb 21, 1959 - Mar 1, 2024

Bellevue

Sandra "Sandy" Wurmser, 65, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family after a year-long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 21, 1959, in Norwalk, to Melvin and Ann (Albright) Keefer. She raised her children in Milan and enjoyed spending time with them and following their activities. She worked seven years at New Horizon's West Baking, over 26 years for Freudenberg, and was a candy striper at Fisher-Titus in her early years.

"She loved to go dancing, went for walks, loved camping. She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren, loved laughing and big hugs. Lived her life as everyday as you can." - Sandy

Her family shares that she appreciated the simple things in life, had compassion for others, enjoyed hiking and camping at Mohican, and making memories with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Wurmser of Bellevue; children, Brad (Illyana) Wurmser of Prescott, Arizona, Todd Wurmser of Monroeville, and Mandi (Kevin) Miller of Clyde; grandchildren, Jordyn Wurmser, Evelyn Wurmser, Jacob Miller, Myla Miller, Macie Wurmser, and Kason Wurmser; siblings, Alice (Ron) Appeman, Mark Keefer, Jackie (Gary) Desmond, and Jeff (Tammy) Keefer; sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Marc) Yetter; and several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Keefer; and in-laws, Ralph and Betty Wurmser.

Sandy's celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at First Church of Bellevue, 901 Northwest Street, Bellevue. All are welcome to come and enjoy sharing Sandy's love of life.

Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or online at stjude.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

I am so very sorry to learn of Sandy's passing. I was thinking of her not very long ago and had wondered how she made out with the surgery she was going to have around Christmas time. I had meant to call you but I kept forgetting. I was hoping things were going well for her. Kevin, I am so deeply sorry and I know how much you cared and loved Sandy. I know it will be so difficult to have to be without your soulmate. I know the family will dearly miss her also. May the following verse bring you comfort during this difficult time. What must it be to step on shore and find it-HEAVEN;
To take hold of a hand and find it-GOD´S HAND;
To breathe new air and find it-CELESTIAL AIR;
To feel invigorated, and find it-IMMORTALITY;
To sail from the care and turmoil of earth
To one unbroken calm;
To land there and find it-GLORY.

May God bless you and your lovely family.
