Sandra Lois Vogel McKelvey, 84, of Willard, was peacefully welcomed to Heaven as a good and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022.

She was born July 3, 1938, to Clarence and Alice Vogel, and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, Ralph Byron McKelvey on Feb. 15, 1958, and she faithfully loved him and their children all her days. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edward; and daughter-in-law, Victoria. She is survived by her daughter, Barbra; and sons, Barton (Candace) and William (Aimee). She cherished her nine grandchildren, Kyle, Caitlin, Kamryn, Karmen, Kolin, Kelsey, Cody, Collin and Electa. She had one great-grandchild, Rowan Elouise, and another due in December.

She was a trusted, reliable church secretary for over 25 years in Willard and volunteered for many local organizations including Huron County election board and Willard Area food bank. Sandra was a devoted sports fan, reader, baker, puzzler, and gardener of flowers and produce.

A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Christian Alliance Church, 1609 S. Conwell Ave., Willard, with her son, the Rev. Barton F. McKelvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to the church.
