Ruby M. Rieger, 75, of Norwalk and formerly of Monroeville, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Marietta, Ohio, and was a graduate of Fairless High School. She retired from Fisher-Titus Medical Center and prior to that, was employed at Renaissance House in Norwalk. She was a member of Congregational Community United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included reading, working on puzzles, watching western movies, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Sally (Henry) Stolly of Bellefontaine, Joanne (John) Stubler of Norwalk, and Richard (Jill) Rieger of Bellevue; grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle, Mallory, Aubrey, Patrick, and Kendra; great-granddaughter, Peyton; siblings, Raymond Rouse of Beach City, Russell Rouse of Dundee, Ohio, Robert Rouse of Monroeville, and Rosemary Amerine of Norwalk; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Rieger in 2010; father, Donald Rouse; mother, Ethel (Pritchett) Rouse; stepmother, Katie Rouse; and siblings, Ronnie Rouse, Ruth Gates, and Donald Rouse in infancy.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, until the time of Ruby's service at 11 a.m. at Congregational Community United Church of Christ, 29 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio, 44847. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate.
