Robert Cecil Bibb, 71, a longtime resident of Wakeman and recently of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Dec. 15, 2022, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

Robert was born March 20, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Cecil Mckee and Edith June (Downs) Bibb.

Robert graduated from Oberlin High School in 1969. Following graduation, Robert joined U.S Navy, where he faithfully served our country during the Vietnam Era. After his service, he became a carpenter by trade, working through Carpenter Local #940 and Bates & Rogers Construction. Robert was a member of Knights of Columbus #626, American Legion #292, VFW, charter member of F.O.E. #4354, and Firelands Coin Club. Robert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was his grandchildren's biggest fan at their sporting events. He also loved to garden, work in his garage, and attend coin shows.

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Egbert/Washek) Bibb; children, Sarah (Kevin) Starbuck of Amherst, Robert (Shelly) Bibb Jr. of Tolar, Texas, Adrianna Bibb-Anderson of Ashland, Ohio, Joseph (Michelle) Bibb of Berlin Heights, Nathaniel Bibb of Clyde, Jacob (Tasha) Bibb of Bellevue, Catheran (Orlando) Rodriguez of Dallas, North Carolina, Raymond (Melanie) Bibb of North Ridgeville, Bradley (Carlye) Bibb of Vermilion, and Caleb (Kendra) Bibb of Norwalk; stepchildren, Gregory Egbert of Sandusky, Elizabeth (Joshua) Barcus of Sandusky, and Nicole Egbert of Harker Heights, Texas; 33 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Bibb of Milan and Thomas Bibb of Alamo, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. Robert's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Wally Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery, Milan.
