Maxine (Mullins) Bishop Baker, 90, of New London and formerly Norwalk, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her residence where she lived with her granddaughter, Nicole (Chad), and grandsons, Jacob and Gavin Bilton. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born December 19, 1934, in Garrett, Kentucky, to the late Kiser and Adeline (Prater) Mullins. She lived in Norwalk for many years and retired in 2010 from Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed working puzzles and playing rummy with her family and dear friend Cathy Burdue. Maxine also enjoyed a good trip to the casino and vacationing with the girls. She was a past member of American Legion and VFW.

She is survived by her sons, David (Kim) Sharp of Kentucky and Steven (Patty) Sharp of Circleville; daughters, Melissa (Ed) Ferber of New London and Precious (Matt) Goin of Willard; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry Baker; son, Jack Bishop of California; parents, Kiser and Adaline Mullins of Ohio; sister, Louise McGee of Michigan; and brother, Whitt Mullins of Michigan.

At Maxine's request there will be no services.

Your memories and words of comfort may be shared with Maxine's family. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Sorry for your family's loss. I worked at Gaymont with Maxine. I just loved her laugh and smile.
