Mary Boose Obituary

Mary Charmaine Boose

Dec 23, 1941 - Oct 30, 2025

Norwalk

Mary Charmaine Boose (Leber), 83, of Norwalk, passed away at home peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 23, 1941, in Norwalk, Charmaine was the daughter of Paul Edward Leber and Claire Marcelle (Lundell) Leber. She was a 1959 graduate of Townsend-Wakeman High School.

On April 28, 1962, Charmaine married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Boose, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk. They shared 63 wonderful years together, a marriage built on deep faith, devotion, and love. Their family is forever grateful for Dick's patient and unwavering care during her journey in hospice.

In 1984, Dick & Charmaine moved to Troy, Michigan, for Dick's career, where they spent the next 21 years. Charmaine worked for Volkswagen of America, Corporate Headquarters, in several positions, including executive assistant to the CFO for 10 years and ending her career in the executive office of the CFO/CEO. Upon retirement, they moved back to Norwalk and split their time between their Ohio and Georgia families, attending as many of their grandchildren's activities as possible. She used her exceptional taste and skill as an excellent home decorator to create spaces filled with beauty and comfort, where everyone felt welcome. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she served on several ministry teams over the years, and was past president of Norwalk Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard (Dick) Boose; her children, Richard (Maria) Boose of Dallas, Georgia, and Karen (Steve) Barnett of Norwalk; and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla (Jacob) Cooper of Berlin Heights, Christopher Kiedrowicz of Columbus, and Paige (Justin) Fordham of Carrollton, Georgia. She was the proud great-grandmother of Patrick Wiley Fordham, Miles Henry Fordham, Millie Grace Cooper, and Graham Micah Cooper, all of whom brought her endless joy; siblings, Paul Leber of Dayton, Dan (June) Leber of Sandusky, and Pam (Gordon) Beck of Huron, whom she was especially close to; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Charmaine was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Claire Leber and her brother, Gary Leber of Phoenix, Arizona.

Charmaine will be remembered for her passionate love for her family, her commitment to her faith and faith community and her love for her golden doodle, Charlotte.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice, especially care nurse Tiffany Horning, and the staff at CVS Pharmacy/Norwalk.
