Mark "Smitty" Smith, 58, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 8, 1964, in Greenfield, Ohio, and graduated from Wilmington High School, where he was an All-American in basketball and football. He dedicated his life to R & L Trucking in Norwalk as a dock supervisor for over 39 years. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed golfing. He was known to be friendly to everyone he met and frequently visited Hy Miler and Dublos Carryout and loved his scratch off tickets. He enjoyed his little Debbie snack cakes and his apple pie shots. He was very proud of his "sugar buns" daughters.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Reinhart of Wilmington; wife, Megyn (Warner) Smith of Norwalk; children, Cierra Robinson of Zanesville, Morgyn (fiancé, Abreanna Arnold) Smith of Norwalk, Madison (Aleczander Shaffer) Smith of Findlay, and Miley Smith of Norwalk; their dog, Harlow Jennings; siblings, Steven Smith of Cincinnati, Rick Smith of Dayton, and Kat Smith of Wilmington; and numerous other family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Graham Smith; and granddaughter, Keirynn.
A celebration of life visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, until the time of Mark's funeral at 1 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be at a later date.

So extremely sad for me to hear of marks passing . We went to ou together and had so many fun times. I hadn´t seen him since the 80s but loved him and so many fond memories. Tried a number of times to reconnect thru the yrs without success and then found the obit today. The pic tho he had aged obviously looked right. Then when I read little Debbie snack cakes I was sure lol. I guess I will have to wait till I get to heaven to see that saint again
