Kyle W. Michaels, 36, of New Haven, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026. He was born January 5, 1990, in Norwalk, to Lori (Grimm) Thornton and Coy Michaels. Kyle graduated from Wynford High School and had worked at Timken Co. in Bucyrus, O'Reilly Auto Parts in Willard and Walmart in Norwalk. He enjoyed collecting guns, automotive work, 3-D printing and was a camera enthusiast.
He is survived by his mother, Lori (Aaron) Thornton of Willard; father, Coy Michaels of Bucyrus; sister, Elizabeth Michaels of Bucyrus; brother, Jacob Michaels of Bucyrus; grandmother, Malinda Grimm of New Haven; uncle, Brian (Kim) Grimm of Shelby; aunt, Michelle Michaels of Galion; and several cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Grimm; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Sandra Michaels; and his uncle, Matthew Michaels.
Per Kyle's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
