Kenneth E. Harvey
Sep 11, 1958 - Oct 26, 2022
Sandusky
Kenneth E. Harvey, 64, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 11, 1958, in Sandusky, to the late William and Anna Ruth (Sexton) Harvey. He graduated from Norwalk High School with his GED in 2000. Ken went on to do many jobs, working at Ohio Veterans Home as a nursing assistant for many years and then retired from MTD in Willard.
Ken loved going to church and spending time in the word with Jesus. He also loved fishing, dart ball, baseball, and many other sports. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his family.
Anyone that knew Ken knows his happy place was on the deck watching birds, his favorites being eagles, hummingbird, and orioles. He had many feeders hanging on the deck to feed them. So all who wish to honor his life are invited to hang a hummingbird or oriole feeder at your home and when one appears just remember, "I am there with you."
He married the love of his life "So he said", Janet Robbin (Kilgore) Harvey on May 10, 1984 to whom he was married 38 years. He is also survived by a stepson, Johnnie (Samantha) Pruitt of Willard; granddaughters, Ashley Pruitt of Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Washington, Shelby Pruitt-Johnson of Lakland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and Elizabeth Pruitt of Berlin Heights; brothers, Roger (Cathy) Harvey of Greeneville, Tennessee, and Glen (Patricia) Harvey of Sandusky; sister, Katie Nutter of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wilma Vice, Rita Faye, and Rebecca Ann Harvey; and brothers, Sammy Harvey and Donald Harvey.
Keeping with Ken's giving spirit, after he was diagnosed with cancer, he wanted to donate his body for medical studies in lieu of a funeral.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, 2614 Tiffin Ave. Lot 89, Sandusky, or Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is helping family with arrangements. Condolences may be made by visiting
