John "Butch" L. Leonhard, 86, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born September 20, 1938, in Sandusky to Edward and Louise (Kromer) Leonhard.
John "Butch" graduated from Perkins High School. He married his wife, RaeLa (Forrest), in 1963. He was employed as a truck driver at Leaseway Botel for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
John "Butch" is survived by his sons, John E Leonhard of Huron, and Edward (Terry) Leonhard of Mansfield; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Butch was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights, at a later date.
Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, is handling arrangements.
