Kurt Reilly, 54, of Smithfield, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was the son of Larry and Suzy Reilly of Norwalk. Kurt is also survived by his wife of 35 years, Lahnie Reilly; daughters, Katt Fisher (Peter) and Mandi Reilly (Matthew); grandchildren, Juniper and Maple Fisher, and Keigan and Evelyn Bredon; sister, Annette Pronschinske (Gary); brother, Scott Reilly (Stacey); a nephew, Trevor; and his in-laws, Diana Wilson and Joseph Wilson.

Kurt joined the United States Air Force in 1989 at age 17 as a graphic artist to "color for a living". He met his loving wife, Lahnie, while stationed in Arizona, where they quickly married and moved to Alaska. They continued to move all over the United States and had their two daughters.

While stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kurt was part of the Air Force Thunderbirds in 2000, creating many of their promotional posters and merchandise before being stationed in Smithfield, Virginia, and making it their forever home in 2004. He completed one 8-month tour in Iraq in 2009 before retiring from the Air Force in 2011, having served his country for 22 years. He then continued serving his country as a civilian working in civil service until his retirement in 2023.

Kurt loved camping with his friends and driving his beloved Jeep, but his love of corn outweighed them both. He was a caring father and adored his four grandchildren, always asking, "Where are my babies?" anytime he called. He was loved by so many people and will be truly missed.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Alphonsus Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, OH 44857. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass and also at a luncheon following Mass at the church. Burial in St. Alphonsus Cemetery will take place after Mass with military honors. A celebration of life will be at a later date in Smithfield, Virginia.
