Joan M. Conaway, 84, of North Fairfield, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Norwalk Memorial Home following a lengthy battle with dementia.
Joan was born June 27, 1938, in Clyde, to the late Carl and Agnes (Eishen) Noftz.
Joan was a 1956 graduate of North Fairfield High School. She was a dedicated homemaker who took care of the children and helped run the family farm. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed square dancing and traveling with her husband.
Joan is survived by four children, Debbie (Ken) King of Norwalk, Pam (John) Walker of Arizona, Rick (Judi) Conaway of Willard, and Bob Conaway of North Fairfield; grandchildren, Jenny, Jeremy, Eric (Renee), Grace, Allison, Anelise (Miles), Elizabeth (Tom), and David; eight great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Larry (Jane) Noftz of Norwalk, Bonnie (Greg) Parker of Norwalk, and Gene Noftz of Fremont.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Conaway, who passed away in 2019; and siblings, Shirley Sipp and Carl Noftz Jr.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, until the time of Joan's funeral at 11:30 a.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Burial will follow at North Fairfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Joan's honor may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 480 Dussel Drive, Maumee, Ohio, 43537.
