Jane E. McDonald, 75, passed peacefully from this life to the next Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at her home. She was born June 9, 1949, in Norwalk to the late Carl and Marjorie (Comer) Sweet and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1967.
Jane loved spending time with her family, traveling, playing cards, attending musicals, plays, and concerts, spending time at the lake house, vacationing with family and friends, sending cards to loved ones and dining out regularly with family and friends.
She was a member of Norwalk First Presbyterian Church and Norwalk Eagles Club 711. Jane had worked for Norweco Inc., Moto-Electric Inc.and Norwalk City Schools.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Dennis McDonald; daughter, Lindsey (Mark) Silverwood; granddaughter, Norah; and brothers, Dale and David (Rita) Sweet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister in-law, Diana Sweet.
Visitation for friends and family will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at Norwalk First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk, with Pastor James Hodsden officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
