Horace A. "Holly" Ward, 81, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 21, 1941, in Norwalk, to Lloyd R. and Lucille (Hippler) Ward. Holly was a 1960 graduate of Norwalk High School.

He enjoyed movies, fishing, trivia, mini golf, and football, especially Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. Holly served his country during Vietnam as part of U.S. Army and was a member of Norwalk American Legion. He was talented at refinishing cabinets and furniture and worked for Shelby Novelty Company, R.F. McCrillis, and Suhr Kitchens.

Holly's survivors include his sisters, Patricia (William) Mank and Roselyn Eckenrod; brothers, Richard (Paulette) Ward and William Ward; and sister in-law, Marlene Ward.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Ward; and brother in-law, John Eckenrod.

A private graveside service took place with family members at Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, where Holly was laid to rest.
