Eva Miller Obituary

Eva Miller

Apr 1, 1935 - Jun 9, 2025

Bellevue

Eva (Delllinger) Miller, 90, of Bellevue, died Monday, June 9, 2025. She was the last surviving child of the late Carse and Mildred (Jarrett) Dellinger of Attica. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Jean Thompson, Robert Dellinger, Louise Cain, Howard Dellinger, Ruth Walker, James Dellinger, and Connie Norris. She was also predeceased by two sons-in-law, Michael More of Bellevue and Wesley Fahrbach of Fremont.

A 1953 graduate of Attica High School, Eva married her high school sweetheart, Albert L. Miller, also of Attica, who predeceased her in 2018. Together they raised three daughters who survive, Kathleen Miller More (Bob Storm) of Fremont, Linda Fahrbach of Columbus, and Susanne Polley (Andrew) of Chester, Maryland. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

For over 25 years, Eva was a leader in the residential real estate market as a realtor at the former Century 21 Vista Realty and then at Strayer Realty offices in Bellevue and Willard, and as chair of Huron County Board of Realtors. She established a reputation as a sharp-witted competitor who took pride in helping first-time homebuyers obtain the financing needed to become homeowners.

A beautiful and intelligent woman, Eva never left the house without wearing a stylish outfit and sparkling jewelry. Most of her jewelry came as gifts from her loving husband of 65 years. Eva had a strong eye for design and a knack for creating aesthetically beautiful spaces. She reveled in auction finds and could turn a bland room into a magazine-worthy showpiece. This skill also extended outdoors where she enjoyed creating welcoming gardens with an abundance of colorful flowers.

Throughout her life, Eva was a strong, hardworking, independent woman. Sharp until the very end and never shy in sharing her opinion, her strength and perseverance served as a model for many young women who held her in esteem. She will be most remembered as a generous woman who loved and lived for her husband, children and grandchildren.

For 80 years she created wonderful holiday gatherings for her family, making each celebration special and wonderful. In return, she was and will always remain deeply loved by her family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A coffee hour to greet visitors will be at Auxter Recker Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, following the graveside service. Memorials or Mass Intentions in Eva's name may be given to Immaculate Conception Church or a charity of one's choice.

My husband and I moved next door to Eva and Al in 2013. They were so nice to us. Always complimented the changes we were making to improving the house and yard. Such wonderful people. Prayers for Eva's family.

Remembering Eva as a hard worker in the kitchens of St. Michael“s Marywood and at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine. She was beautiful inside and out! A great friend to my mother, Lavern! Heaven has another angel!
