Cynthia Lea "Cyndi" Gfell, 53, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Oct. 28, 1970, in Norwalk, to Lawrence Gfell and Ann Ryan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working at Huron-Erie-Richland County CAC preschool, watching Cincinnati Bengals, judging rabbits at Huron County Fair, and appreciative of cats and playing the Cello.
She is survived by her son, Tyson Pryor; siblings, Erin (John) Lendrum, Jill (David) Roberts, Lynn (Ken) Espvik, Gretchen Gfell, and Steve (Nancy) Gfell; stepmother, Nancy Gfell; nieces, Sara, Hannah, Emily, Meredith, Paige, and Abigail; nephews, Alex, Hakon, and Thomas; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Ellyanna, Cooper, Vivian, Georgia, Thomas, Cameron, and Calab.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers-in-law, David Roberts and Mike Holdren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Settlement Road, Norwalk, with Fr. Chris Jesudhason officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Cyndi was a good friend for many years. Kind and thoughtful. We met in College and stayed in contact after until we drifted apart when I moved out of state but she was thought of frequently. Rest in peace dear friend. Kids I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a good person. Love and prayers.
