Christina Lynn Obituary

Christina A. Lynn

Feb 20, 1967 - Sep 22, 2025

Sandusky

Christina A. (Bard) Lynn, 58, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 22, 2025, at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Christina was born February 20, 1967, in Dayton, to Peter and Virginia (Bump) Bard.

Christina was a 1985 graduate of Fairview High School and worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Miely and Dr. Kirpekar. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Christina had a zest for life that was contagious; she enjoyed music, hummingbirds, the sunshine, and trips to Cedar Point. She loved entertaining at "The Peterson Lane Country Club" and could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Above all, she cherished time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandkids, Milo, Madden, and Mayzlee. She was, and will continue to be, the light of their world, and they will carry her memory with them for a lifetime.

Christina is survived by her husband of 32 years, Timothy Lynn, whom she married August 14, 1993. She is also survived by her son, Adam (Haley Steck) Lynn; daughter, Anna (Derrick Kirkwood) Lynn; beloved grandchildren, Milo, Madden and Mayzlee; mother, Virginia Bard of Dayton; mother-in-law, Evelyn Lynn of Sandusky; two brothers, Michael (Deborah) Bard of Bethesda, Massachusetts, and Paul Bard of Dayton; and a plethora of family members.

Christina is preceded in death by her father, Peter Bard; father-in-law, Karl Lynn; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends may visit from 3-7 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Schlessman Family Farm, 1609 Rye Beach Road, Huron, Ohio. To honor Christina, we invite guests to wear a shade of yellow in celebration of her bright and joyful spirit.

We have absolutely nothing that we can say to help you at this time. It's such a horrible, fuzzy, bleak, mind numbing existence when you lose someone you love so much, esp when it's so unexpected. She was the rock. The glue. And when the glue fades away, we feel lost. Like we wont be able to go on.

But you will. Believe us when we say. "New normal" can really stink, but it's a reality, and knowing all of you like we do, and knowing that you are you BECAUSE of her, you will slowly pick yourselves up and live your life the way she would want you to. Know that you are not alone.
