Charles "Rodney" Peters Jr., 67, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at his residence after fiercely fighting a brief and challenging battle with ALS.
He was born March 18, 1956, in Sandusky, to Charles R. and Thelma L. (Sartor) Peters Sr.

Rodney worked at Corso's Cleveland Road Greenhouse in Sandusky for 27 years and then another 24 years at the former Huron Lime Company in Huron. Before officially retiring in June, 2022, he spent four years working in grounds maintenance at Cedar Point.
Rodney was a huge sports fan who loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Most of all, Rodney loved spending time with family whom he loved more than anything. He was the guy everyone could count on, showing up no matter what the need or time of day. He will be greatly missed by so many family, friends, and caregivers. The family would like to thank ProMedica Hospice Service Northwest Ohio and caregivers for all their help and assistance with granting him one last wish, getting him home where he could be at peace.
