Barbara M. Huber, of Milan, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 30, 2024.

She was born Jan. 19, 1938, to Frank and Marian (Weigand) Ryder and lived her entire life in Milan.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kathy (Tom) Weilnau of Norwalk and Jeff (Laurie) Huber of Milan; grandchildren, Tiffany (Simon) Strickler and Alex (Megan) Huber; great-grandchildren, Payton and Taylor Strickler, Annalise and Harrison Huber; sister, Linda Landis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters-in-law, Betty Huber and Joyce Hite; and brother-in-law, Don Landis.

Barb graduated from Milan High School in 1955 and M.B. Johnson School of Nursing as a registered nurse. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Gary Huber and they spent 57 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015. Barb held many nursing positions throughout her career including her favorite job as an emergency room RN at Providence Hospital and School Nurse for Berlin-Milan Schools. She retired from Cedar Point as First Aid Supervisor in 1997.

Barb was always willing to help care for anyone at any time. She had a great bedside manner and comforted many. She cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Barb was also blessed with good friends and always looked forward to a lunch or movie date.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. A celebration of Barb's life will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher-Titus Foundation, 272 Benedict Ave, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.

Kathy and Jeff, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. She was a good friend to me for 37 years. She loved her family so much and was so proud of all of you! I will miss her.
