Wakeman

Ann M. (Murray) Keith, 100, of Wakeman, died at Kingston Residence of Vermilion. She was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Wakeman and lived there for 80 years. She spent 15 years in Norwalk and the last six years in Vermilion. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service during WWII, Wakeman doctor's office, Wakeman Bank, and Society Bank in Vermilion.

Ann enjoyed spending time reading, cooking, baking, playing the piano, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles and volunteering at Fisher-Titus Hospital. She volunteered until the age of 90. Ann never knew a stranger, she loved the stories of others.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Keith (Chris Kosco) of Vermilion, Joann (Paul) Coe of Berthoud, Colorado and Catherine (Juan) Rivera of Centerville; sons, John (Barb) Keith of Norwalk, James Keith of Oberlin and Charles Keith (Anne Harbles) of Hollywood, Florida; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Berten Keith; her parents, James and Catherine (nee McMahon) Murray; son Joseph; and three daughters; sister, Mary Catherine Murray; and brothers, Lawrence, Robert, George, Joseph, Paul, Alfred and Louis Murray.

Visitation for Ann will be from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Wakeman. The funeral Mass will be livestreamed on the church website (https://nationalwebcasts.com/webcasts/stpaulsnorwalk/).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

So very sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I volunteered with Ann at FTMC such a beautiful person inside and out, she was an amazing, kind, caring, compassionate person a delight to be around. RIP Ann.
