William L. Jackson, 86, of Oberlin, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Welcome Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was born November 24, 1938, in Kipton, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Feichtner) Jackson.

William graduated from Townsend-Wakeman High School in 1956. He worked for Thew Shovel, Dauch Concrete and then as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for 30 years. He was a member of Wakeman Eagles, State Commander of the Sons of the AMVETS Squadron No. 32 and a member of Wakeman Gibson Masonic Lodge No. 301. In his earlier years, he enjoyed watching motocross, horse racing, especially his racehorse named "Win Willy"; he was a Dale Earnhardt fan as well as a big fan of Caitlyn Clark. In his later years, he spent his spare time watching his grandchildren's sporting events, as well as women's college basketball, with UConn being his favorite team. He was also a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeannine (David) Blum of Tennessee, Teresa (Jeff) Hartley of Bellevue, and Mona (Terry) Burke of Wakeman; son, Larry (Courtney) Jackson; brother, Charles "Charlie" Jackson of Wakeman; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday September 26, 2025, at Camden Cemetery, SR 20, Kipton.
