Stephanie L. (Ungerer) Wilson, 49, of Wakeman, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at University Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle and defeating AML - only to succumb from the side effects of treatment.

She was born January 7, 1976, in Norwalk, to Roger and Cherie (Castle) Ungerer.

Stephanie graduated from Western Reserve High School and EHOVE Career Center in 1994. She continued her education at EHOVE Adult Ed Nursing and became an LPN in 2005. Stephanie returned to school and earned her AA degree from BGSU in 2015. Graduated from Firelands School of Nursing with her RN in 2017 and started her nursing career at Fisher-Titus, where she worked prior to and through COVID in the ICU department. Stephanie continued her education and received her BSN from Ohio University in 2019. She had just completed her MSN at Walden University when she was diagnosed with AML May 14, 2021. Stephanie battled long and hard through many setbacks, only for her body to finally give out.

In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, planning huge parties, fun and sun, and her endless love of her family, pets, Jeep, sand, beaches, and lighthouses.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, David, whom she married October 5, 2002, at Marblehead Lighthouse. She is also survived by her sons, Zachary Wilson and Mason (Camielle) Wilson; daughter, Maizie Wilson; grandchildren, Piper, Sebastian, and Gwyndolin; sisters, Amanda (Chris) Ungerer and Katherine (Edward) Harrington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Marian Ungerer and mother-in-law, Linda Wilson.

Per Stephanie's wishes, cremation with no services will take place, with a Celebration of Life announced at a later date.
