Shirley L. (Hite) Beebe, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept.13, 2024, at Norwalk Memorial Home. She was born Sept. 5, 1934, in East Chicago, Indiana, to the late Glenn and Cora M. (Hawk) Hite. She was a 1953 graduate of Willard High School, where she was a cheerleader.
Shirley enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and making pies, and she loved her cats. Early in her career, she was a dental assistant and later a school cook at Plymouth. She was a member of the Eastern Star and West Hartland Church and had helped with her son's business, Midget Motors, where she answered phones, assisted with sales, and made several friends.
Shirley is survived by her son, Michael (Susan) Beebe; grandchildren, Matthew Beebe, Joshua (Caitlin) Beebe, and Zachary Naji; and two great-grandsons, Jack and Christopher Beebe.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin; and daughter, Victoria.
Friends and family are invited at noon till the time of the 2 p.m. service Tuesday, Sept. 17,2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, with Pastor Steve Engle officiating. Burial will follow the 2 p.m. service at Centerton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US Hwy 250 N. Ste. 2, Milan, OH 44846.
