Priscilla Roberts Obituary

Priscilla Ann Roberts

Jan 12, 1943 - Aug 26, 2022

Xenia, Ohio

Priscilla Ann Roberts, 79, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2022.

Mom is preceded in death by a baby brother, Ricky Pat; sister, Sandra; father, Pat Lambdin; mother, Daphne Lambdin; and recently, brother, Donal Lambdin.

Mom is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Roberts of Xenia and Tamberlin Shuman of Colorado; two grandchildren, Skyler Shuman of Springfield, Ohio, and Torryn Shuman of Xenia; son-in-law, Joel Betterly of Xenia that she adored and thought of as her own; brothers, Paris Lambdin (Linda) of Tennessee, Earnest Lambdin (Jane) of Oklahoma, and John Lambdin (Rita); sister, Peggy Miller (Virgil) of Ohio; sister-in-law, Jeannie Lambdin; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and best friend, Carol Perry of Norwalk. Mom also leaves behind her friend and sweetheart, Ken Clark, of Xenia. She looked forward to seeing you and Sophie each day. Ken, you made her last good day something very special for her and us. Thank you for coming to hospice and playing your violin. We all know she heard the music. Thank you.

Mom grew up in Lee County, Viriginia, near Pennington gap. She moved to Ohio in her late teens. Mom worked as a carhop for many years at Parkmoors and at Frishes, where she met our dad, G.B. Roberts. They later divorced in '74. Mom never remarried.

Mom worked for Inland for many years until they went out of business.

Mom eventually sold her house and moved to Norwalk to be closer to her parents and family. She lived for over 16 yrs at Bennett Point senior apartments in Norwalk where she had many friends. She moved back to the Dayton area last Dec. so that we could help care for her.

Joel and I are so blessed we were able to make her last months as happy as we could. Mom loved playing with her other "grand babies," our five cats. She had her favorite, but loved them all. If mom took a nap or went to bed, you could bank on one or two of them sleeping with her. She loved going to the movies, going on special jaunts with Joel to get ice cream, and watching MMA fights on Saturday night.

Mom was smart, funny, goofy, stubborn, a lady, daughter, sister, friend, and wonderful mom, but, above all, she was loved. We miss you mommy.

Go rest high on that mountain.

A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Gem Banquet Hall, 3425 Valley St., Dayton, Ohio, 45424. Flowers may be sent there.

Ah, Sissy, that picture is the way I remember you. You went North, we went South, so we didn't see each other's children grow up. I miss you, I miss your Mom
