Peggy Pocotte, 90, residing in Sandusky and formerly of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at The Meadows at Osborn Park.
Peggy was born May 18, 1933, in Woodville, to Carl F. and Mary (Evans) Turner.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert "Terry" Pocotte; children, Dr. Susan (Dr. Joel Rudinger) Pocotte of Huron, Scott (Nanette) Pocotte of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Sally (Cal) Jestice of Solon; three grandchildren, Christopher (Maggie) Pocotte, Shawn (Brittany) Pocotte, and Brian Jestice; three great-grandchildren; sister, Polly Rubel of Sebring, Florida; sister-in-law, Jean Turner of Gibsonburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Michael and Patrick Turner.
Peggy and Robert lived in various cities in Louisiana, New Jersey, Michigan, and Ohio.
She graduated from Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She was employed as an R.N. in various hospitals and nursing homes in Michigan and Ohio. She provided professional and compassionate care to countless patients and their families.
In her spare time, she enjoyed many creative activities including collecting antique furniture and glass. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid quilter, and did lots of charitable work through various Lutheran ministries.
The family wishes to thank Dr. T. Williamson and his staff, and the staff at The Meadows at Osborn Park and the staff of Stein Hospice for their compassionate care.
