Mearl Fred Bostic, 79, of Wakeman, passed away Monday evening, Oct. 2, 2023, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 30, 1944, in Canvas, West Virginia, to Earl and Nellie (Crites) Bostic. He worked at Angie's Body Shop in Norwalk and Mark's Excavating detailing trucks and tractors for many years. He was a member of Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711 and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of New Covenant Lighthouse Ministries and enjoyed attending garage sales, Goodwill, and flea markets.

He is survived by two boys and three girls, Pamela Zamano, Judy (Troy) Meyer, Jeff (Jennie) Bostic, and Kathrien Bostic; loving common law wife, Vinadean Griffith; siblings, Howard Bostic and Mary Groves; grandchildren, Jose, Sophia, JR, Shain, Clint, Jennifer, Jessica, Joanna, Clayton, Darius, Victoria, and Hayden; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mearl was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Carl Bostic, Kermit Bostic, and Loretta Lewis.

A small service will take place in West Virginia at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
