Marilyn L. (Champion) Hansen, 86, of Berlin Heights, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 30, 1937, in Jamestown, Indiana, to Earl and Lois (Wells) Champion.
Marilyn graduated from high school in Fremont, Indiana. She married Irving Hansen on June 7, 1956, and moved to Berlin Heights, where they raised their family and enjoyed life together. Marilyn and Irv were inseparable. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering at Sandusky Memorial Hospital for many years, reading, gardening, and everything in nature surrounding their home.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Bill) Johnson of Paris, Michigan; son, Erik (Theresa) Hansen of Sandusky; son, Kurt (Colleen) Hansen of Milan; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with her 12th on the way; sister, Marlene (Dave) Goodwin; sister-in-law, Bobbie Champion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irving in April, 2023; sister, Colleen Champion; and brothers, Charles (Ila) Champion and Galen Champion.
Private services will take place at a later date near their family farm in Michigan. Cremation has taken place.
Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, is handling arrangements.
