Saint Magnificat Jael Heffner, daughter of Tanner and Marriana Heffner, was born March 25, 2026. In His great mercy, God allowed Magnificat to receive the sacrament of Baptism at the hands of her father.

Maggie was placed into the arms of her mother and father, who were able to spend around 30 minutes telling her how much they treasure her before Jesus took her home to Heaven. Magnificat was wanted and cherished from the moment she came into existence. Though her time on earth was brief, all she ever knew was love. Glory be to God our Father for the magnificent gift of eternal life and joy granted to our beloved princess saint.

Magnificat is survived by her father and mother, Tanner and Marriana Heffner; her big sister, Azelie Heffner; and her grandparents, Tony and Teresa Heffner, Robert and Karen Duncan, and Constance Leach.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Athanasius Heffner; her sibling, Shiloh Heffner; her uncle, Daniel Duncan; and her grandfather, Ronald Leach.

Maggie's eternal life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, during Holy Mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, with the Rev. Travis Kahle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, 50 S. West Street, Norwalk, with a reception to follow immediately after in the Gather Space of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Maggie's family will be wearing flowers or something floral in honor of their sweet girl. Guests are invited but not expected to do the same.

All are invited to join Maggie's family for Holy Mass, followed by the burial and reception. Despite our profound grief, we desire to celebrate Maggie's life and the beauty of her sainthood with holy joy.

My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior because He hath regarded the lowliness of His handmaid. For behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed for He that is mighty hath done great things unto me and holy is His Name.
