I know Luke's grandfather, Keith Chapin. Keith and I were in the same grades from 1st -12th.
My wife and I are sad to learn about Luke even though we never met him. We both have lost family members over the years, young like Luke and older. It's a hard time to live thru.

One afternoon, I was sitting alone at a college event when a tall man I didn´t know sat beside me. With a warm smile, he asked how I was doing and struck up a conversation for 10-15 minutes. That man was Luke Brown. Though we had just met, his kindness made it one of the warmest conversations I´ve ever had. It was a brief moment, but its warmth stays with me, and I´ll always remember Luke´s genuine spirit.

Luke was like a big brother to me. I always enjoyed being around him in cross country and track.

I was blessed to lead a Bible study with Luke the last couple of years. His love for learning, for people, and for Jesus were all incredibly on display in his life. He was unapologetically himself in the most humble way. It was a privilege to know him and be known by him.

To the entire family of Luke,
I did not know your son, but my nephew Matthew Rodio, is a Senior at OU, and was heartbroken by your son/ sibling/ family member´s death. I have 4 children, twin boys 32, and 2 girls 25 & 23 and can´t imagine the grief of losing one. I just wanted to express my deep sadness at hearing this news, and express my sincere thoughts of sympathy for your deep loss. I read about your son here and he sounded wonderful. God bless your family.
Sincerely,

Luke was a great friend of mine at Ohio University. When I first joined Cru, he was one of the first people to get to know me. We would meet at least once a week to talk about faith, life, and class. He was always an encouragement to me and helped me grow closer in my walk with Jesus.
