Joseph M. Briehl, 53, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024.

He was born March 30, 1970, in Norwalk, and was a 1988 graduate of St. Paul High School and attended EHOVE Career Center. He served in U.S. Army during Desert Storm in the airborne division, where he received a National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, and marksman and parachute badge. He worked at Brooker Brothers in Norwalk and was a lifetime member of Norwalk VFW Post 2743 and NRA. He enjoyed the outdoors, shooting, and taking care of his yard.

He is survived by his mother, Dianne Briehl of Norwalk; sisters, Patricia (Jason) Roush of Spring Lake, North Carolina, and Justine Brown of Huron; brother, Mark A. Briehl; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Briehl.

Joseph's service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Chapel at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, with military honors.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
