John C. "Jack" Toft, 91, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025.
He was born in Sandusky, May 17, 1934, to the late John and Esther (Windbeahl) Toft Sr.
Jack was employed by Spoerr Precast Concrete for 37 years, Groff Funeral Home, and finally by Toft Funeral Home & Crematory.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, a former dartball player and manager for Zion 5, and bowled in Paramount Bowling League. When not working, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of a good beer or shot of whiskey, time spent with family, listening to or watching Cleveland sports teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes, and going to casinos.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alma Lou (Pocock) Toft; children, Kris (James) Stradtman, Mike (Barb) Toft, Betty Schwiefert, Steve (Jeannie Schwartz) Toft, and Kim (David) Corrado; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; brother, James (Jeanette) Toft; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sue Lang; sons-in-law, Danny Lang and Michael Schwiefert; sister, Geraldine Ritzenthaler; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at5 Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park.

Jack was a great and funny guy who we looked forward to seeing at work. He always amazed us with his work ethic and that desire to not sit still and of course we loved all the laughs and teasing!
