John Francisco Obituary

John William Francisco

Jan 13, 1939 - Jan 14, 2023

Norwalk

John William Francisco, 84, of Norwalk, passed away early Saturday morning, Jan. 14, 2023, at Kingston of Vermilion Rehabilitation.

John was born Jan. 13, 1939, in Olena, to the late Forrest and Helen (Martin) Francisco. John graduated from Norwalk High School and was drafted into the United States Army. He was a dedicated employee for 43 years at Norwalk Furniture, retiring as Vice President of Manufacturing. John was past President of American Furniture Manufacturer's Association; Treasurer and Show Coordinator for Norwich Terrier Club of Chicago; Show Chair for Norwich Terrier Club of America; Norwich Terrier Supported Entry Coordinator for Kentuckiana Cluster Dog Shows, and Location Coordinator for 1977 and 1979 World Coon Hunt, held in Norwalk. John took pride in keeping an immaculate yard and would help neighbors with their yardwork as well. His greatest passion was showing dogs, which he did with great success over a 60-year career, making AKC champions of several Great Danes and Norwich Terriers.

John is survived by his loving wife, Elsie (Twitchell) Francisco, whom he married in 1960; a daughter, Kelly (David) Foos of Norwalk; two grandchildren, Jamison, and Caden; a sister, Janet Hancock of Norwalk; and a brother, Wayne Francisco of Norwalk.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three sisters, Yvonne Brummit, Clara Anderson, and Karen Striker.

In accordance with John's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no services at this time. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.

Supporting his love of dogs, memorial contributions in John's honor can be made to Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857.

John is a true stalwart that gave everything he had for Norwalk Furniture, which they definitely benefited throughout his career, and its best years were all under his tutelage, too.

It´s easy to see the influence John had on me and many others, from what we all witnessed and learned under him at NFC. I for one continue to carry that torch in my professional, and personal life to this day, proudly.

A highly intelligent and truly humble man in every way, whose legacy is etched in granite, for his daughter Kelly is just like him. Everything within him always came and grew, from his beloved wife Elsie´s love and support too.

Thank you `Franny´, you will truly be missed, forever.
