Joan Fry Obituary

Joan L. Fry

May 24, 1954 - Aug 23, 2025

Greenwich

Joan L. Fry, 71, of Greenwich, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at St. Vincent Medical Hospital, Toledo. She was born in Medina, May 24, 1954, the daughter of the late James and Lois (Snyder) Wightman. Joan was a 1972 graduate of New London High School.

Being outside made Joan happy; her true passion was gardening and flowers. She treasured the time spent outside, mowing, keeping her bird feeders full, watching the hummingbirds, and loving her many wind chimes. She was a true lover of dogs and cats. Joan enjoyed searching for and finding unique stones on her many walks along the water. Joan was employed by MTD in Willard throughout her life. Not only did she enjoy working as an auctioneer, she loved to attend auctions.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kyle E. Fry; her son, Tony (Marlene) Fry of Greenwich; grandchildren, Kyra, Madison, Chris, Chloe, Autumn and Trent; and her brother, Jim (Marilyn) Wightman of Grafton.

Joan was preceded in death by her son, Todd Fry; and siblings, Cheryl Booth, Elvie and Sylvia Parsons.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W Main St., New London, OH 44851, where her Funeral Service will begin at 3 p.m., followed by burial at Fitchville Cemetery.
