Jason Glasser, 28, passed away peacefully Monday, April 1, 2024.
Jason was born Feb. 3, 1996, in Norwalk, the devoted and beloved son of David and Charlene Glasser.
Raised in Greenwich, he attended South Central High School, graduating in 2014. Throughout his childhood, Jason was proud to be an eagle scout, enjoying fishing, hunting, and playing baseball. He loved running around with his dog Daisy, mocking his sister, and eating chocolate almond fudge cake. Following high school, Jason moved to Pittsburgh where he found his passion for fabrication, completing his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design in 2018. Jason and his partner, Sam, and lived in four states across the east coast and shared a love for traveling, exploring Hawaii, New Zealand, and vacationed in OBX as often as they could.
Jason was contagious. If you met him, you loved him immediately. He lit up the room. He was sharp, goofy, kind, and tough as nails. Whether you were having a bad day and needed some levity or needed help repairing your house, Jason put everyone ahead of himself. He applied his creativity in every aspect of his life, from his home and career to building guitars, working on his wood lathe, or fixing up his 1968 Barracuda. Most of all, he loved a simple day of having a beer by the fire pit and relaxing with Sam and his dogs.
It was important to Jason that he never let anyone to feel the weight he was carrying. He was always trying to lighten the mood and he always laughed harder than anyone.
Jason was endlessly selfless, donating his kidneys to save two people and many others with the research opportunities he made possible.
We are so lucky to have been touched by his generosity. Maybe it wasn't for a long time, but it was an amazing time, filled with memories we will always cherish.
He is survived by his parents, David and Charlene Glasser; sister, Ashley Glasser; brother-in-law, Matt Wilson; neice, Zoey Wilson; partner, Samantha Kibbe; in-laws, Kathy, Paul, Nicki, and Chris Kibbe; grandmother-in-law, Letha McClellan; dogs, Cthulhu and Rooster; and all of his chosen family and friends.
