Jacob M. Wright, 22, of Inverness, Florida, and formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at his home.
He was born May 11, 2002, in Columbus to John and Sabrina (Cloward) Wright.
Jacob graduated from Edison High School in 2020. He immediately joined the US Marines and proudly served his country from 2020 to 2024. He recently started working for a commercial submergible pump company. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing football and was a Boy Scout that rose to the level of Eagle Scout. He loved music, nature, playing video games, and was fascinated with the time of Odin. He had a heart of gold.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Sabrina Wright, of Fremont; father, John M. (Veronica) Wright, of Inverness, Florida; brothers, Kaleb Wright and Travis (Katie) Hershiser; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Addison and Wyatt Hershiser; aunt, Oshel (Brian Heinzerling) Cloward; as well as numerous friends and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Murl and Rinda Wright, Retha (Kenneth) Martin, and Don Cloward; and uncle, Ricky Cloward.
There will be a graveside service at a later date to be announced at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
Those wishing to contribute to Jacob's memory may do so to a charity of the donor's choice.
Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, is handling arrangements.
