Jacob "Jake" Edwin Bogner, 54, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at University Hospital in Cleveland.

He was born December 21, 1970, in Bellevue and was a 1990 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He attended Firelands College and graduated from BGSU with a bachelor's in sociology and a minor in geography. He worked at Cedar Point, TGI Fridays, Chet and Matt's Pizza, Denny's in Huron, a halfway house in Sandusky, Flat Rock Children's Home, and enjoyed spending time with his children. He was known as a kind and loving person and enjoyed his garden and raising tomatoes and cucumbers.

He was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church and served as a 5 p.m. usher at Mass, member of Knights of Columbus Council 626, and appreciated the lunches at Norwalk Salvation Army. He especially enjoyed perch fishing, and was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers and Michigan fan. He was a member in good standing at Sheri's Coffee House in Norwalk and enjoyed animals, cats, dogs and snakes. Jake will be missed by his children and spending time at the backyard bonfire.

He is survived by his mother, Jane (Hammersmith) Stout of Fremont; children, Seth Bogner of Norwalk, Sean Bogner of Norwalk, and Kaitlyn of Norwalk; siblings, Craig (Stephanie) Bogner of Sylvania, Nathan Stout of Norwalk, Brian Bogner of Bellevue, and Leslie Cleavenger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Bogner; stepfather, Terry Stout; and a nephew, Zachary Bogner.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A luncheon will immediately follow at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
