Gregory A. Morey, age 71, of Milan, was called home to be with God our Father, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

Gregory was born August 12, 1954, in Sandusky, to the late Richard and Betty (Weibling) Morey. He was a 1973 graduate of Edison High School in Milan. He worked for Cedar Point as a ride operator for two summers, then at Clevite as a line operator for many years until the company moved, and he retired. His greatest passion was spending time with the love of his life, Rhea Mae and his music. He was an exceptional drummer, playing and singing with his best friend, Andy Matters, in the band for many years, sharing his talents and joy with countless friends and audiences. He wrote 2001 Space Odyssey for Edison High School under Nick Georgefandis.

Gregory is survived by his first cousin, Kevin (Diane) Boden; his loving daughter, Jennifer Burgess; and his devoted fiancée, Rhea Mae Grosswiler-Dixon, whom he loved for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Morey and his dog, Mazzie.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church,145 S. Center Street, Milan, Ohio, with the Rev.Travis Kahle officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron, and a luncheon at St. Anthony's Hall afterwards.
